Project West Midlands

Terms of Service

Last updated 8 November 2026

The rules for using the Project West Midlands website and Force Management System. Please read them. They're written to be easy to follow.

1. About these terms

These terms cover your use of the Project West Midlands website and Force Management System (the "FMS"), including the MDT, control room, civilian panel, intranet and the PWM MDT desktop app. "We", "us" and "PWM" mean the Project West Midlands community and the people who run it.

By signing in or using the FMS you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our community rules on Discord. If you don't agree, please don't use the FMS.

2. It's a roleplay game

Project West Midlands is a fan-run roleplay community for the Roblox game Emergency Response: Liberty County (ER:LC). It is not connected to West Midlands Police, the NHS or West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Midlands Fire Service, National Highways, the RNLI, Roblox Corporation, Police Roleplay Community or Discord.

Never use the FMS for a real emergency. If you or someone else is in danger, call 999 (or 112). For non-emergencies call 101 or 111.

Everything in the FMS is fictional: characters, criminal records, warrants, fines, licences, bank balances, vehicles, property and court cases only exist inside the game. In-game money has no real-world value and can't be bought, sold or exchanged for real money or items.

3. Who can use the FMS

  • You must meet the minimum age to use Discord and Roblox in your country (13 in the UK), and follow their terms and community guidelines.
  • You must be a member of the Project West Midlands Discord server.
  • If you're under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to take part.

4. Your account

  • You sign in with Discord. What you can open (departments, the control room, management tools) depends on your roles in our Discord server, and staff can change these at any time.
  • To book on duty you link your Roblox account, so the FMS can match you to the ER:LC server.
  • Your account is for you only. Don't share it, use someone else's, or let anyone else use yours. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Log out on shared computers. If you think someone else has used your account, tell staff straight away.

5. Rules for using the FMS

When using the FMS you must not:

  • harass, bully, threaten or discriminate against anyone, or post hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate content;
  • put real personal information into the FMS: your own or anyone else's real address, phone number, school, real name tied to a character, or photos of real people. Keep it to roleplay;
  • impersonate real people, real emergency services or our staff;
  • use the FMS to file false reports or complaints about other members in bad faith;
  • try to get into areas, data or accounts you're not allowed to, find or exploit bugs, or get around permissions. If you find a bug, report it to staff;
  • use bots, scripts or scrapers against the FMS, overload it, or upload anything harmful (such as viruses);
  • copy, sell or share FMS content or other members' information outside the community.

Our community rules on Discord also apply on the FMS.

6. What you post

You keep ownership of what you create and upload (for example reports, characters, pictures and messages). By posting it you let us store it, show it to other members as the FMS is designed to, and keep it in backups, for as long as it's needed to run the community.

Only upload things you have the right to share. Pictures and media can be reviewed by admins and may be removed if they break these terms or our rules.

7. Staff decisions

Our staff may edit or remove content, change your roles, suspend your access, or remove you from the community if you break these terms or our rules, or to keep the community safe. Records of disciplinary decisions may be kept in the FMS. If you disagree with a decision, raise it through the appeals process in our Discord.

8. Availability and changes

The FMS is run by volunteers and provided "as is". We try to keep it working and back it up regularly, but it may sometimes be unavailable, change, or lose data. Features can be added, changed or removed at any time.

The PWM MDT desktop app is provided as is. It isn't code-signed, so Windows may show a warning when you install it. Only download it from our website.

9. Our responsibility to you

As a free, volunteer-run community, we aren't responsible for any loss caused by using (or not being able to use) the FMS, as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that can't be limited, or our responsibility for anything the law doesn't let us exclude.

10. Leaving

You can stop using the FMS at any time. If you'd like your data deleted when you leave, see Your rights in our Privacy Policy. We may end your access if you break these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for important changes, let members know in our Discord. If you keep using the FMS after a change, you accept the new terms.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also use your local courts.

13. Contact us

Questions about these terms? open a ticket in our Discord server (or message a member of the Foundership or Management team).
